The challenge
The Pacific island nation of Niue needed to implement a novel blockchain-based funding initiative to support ocean-conservation efforts. That required coordinating a blockchain solution, marketing website, payment-processing software, and content strategy to encourage philanthropic contributions across 14 villages.
What we did
DevDocs collaborated with Niue's government to design and develop a custom blockchain payments solution. The team partnered with McKinsey & Company to evaluate market needs and with Ripple to build a custom XRPL blockchain. DevDocs created intuitive UI/UX across the marketing site, user-facing platform, and internal dashboard, plus a comprehensive content strategy to educate and engage potential donors.
Outcome
The completed blockchain payments solution enables Niue to pursue its $18M fundraising goal while centralising conservation efforts into a streamlined system for monitoring and evaluation across the island's 14 villages.
